Throughout my time, Raymond and I have known each other since he was a Supreme Court Justice, to a Congressman, to a Senator, and now to a President. To know Raymond was to know how hard he worked in whatever capacity he served in. His leadership as the President of the United States, I think is one of the greatest that this country has seen. America was put first. Businesses were put first. Law Enforcement were put first. Armed Service were put first. We were reminded that America is bigger than any one of us. Thank you President Pritzker.
Today, I attened my last session as a United States Senator, and I finished it with a remarkable Senate. The 20th Senate. I thanked my colleagues from my caucus and the other side of the isle for their work ethic, their support, their willingness to serve, and their commitment to the American people. To the 21st Senate, I wish you the best, good luck.
